Year 3

Year 3 is the first class in Key Stage 2, the second chapter in the primary school journey. Lessons are taught in a variety of different ways to support the needs of every learner. The children have lessons in maths, English, and reading every day, where they are encouraged to listen, think, and share their ideas and thoughts. Each half term we begin new topics in our subjects where we build a wealth of knowledge and skills. We immerse our Year 3 pupils into history topics where we learn about the Stone Age to Iron Age, Ancient Egypt and the Tudors. Our budding scientists study topics such as plants, forces and rocks, and in art and DT they experience drawing, sewing and constructing though a variety of topics.
